What a crew; Walt, Julie, and the other guy. |
Our friend Julie Cliett so graciously volunteered to teach me how to make a great pie dough. After all she won grand champion pie at the fair this last year. So we finally had time to set up a class. Joining us on this adventure was the desert king of the Black Iron Gang, Walt Lowe, whom we found out had never made homemade pie dough. It was a great fun class to have, when we got to the baking part it was not so fun for me. I burnt a beautiful Blueberry Pie in the pre-heated (650 degree) Dutch Oven, let me tell you it was quick at that temperature. So I made another pie which was an apple pie that turned out great. Here are some fine pictures of a great time in class.
